Three command figures as shown: bugler, officer firing pistol, and NCO.
These figures are a match for our mounted Circassian Cossack Command or as Foot Cossacks (plastunes)
This style of uniform was worn in the Circassian and Astrakhan cossack regiments during the conquest of Turkestan in the 1870s and the Russo-Turkish War of 1877.
As the fur cap and coat became more popular, various other cossack units wearing this style of dress can be seen in World War I, the Revolution and Civil War and even into World War II.
Cossack units wearing this style of dress can be seen in World War I, the Revolution and Civil War and even into World War II. These dismounted cossacks also make great Russian infantry figures in summer dress for the latter periods.
All the rifles of our cossacks on foot are cast with bayonets for use as plastunes; for use as dismounted cossacks of a mounted unit, simply remove the bayonets.
NOTE: All figures are sold plain (not primed) and without the bases shown.
