Soviet Assault Engineers.

The Engineer squad consists of 2 each of the four engineer figures shown plus one officer (right) for a total of 9 figures.

The first engineer is getting ready to throw a bundled package of six grenades. The second is carrying a dynamite charge in wooden boxes--at this point the Soviets didn't make fancy packages. The third is carrying mines. The fourth is carrying a flame-thrower. The Soviets actually modified a standard Moisin-Nagant rifle to act as the flame-throwing device.

Like the Assault shock troops (SOV-4), they are dressed for fall/winter in the telogreika jacket with the ushanka hat.
