T‑34 Model 1940
The Model 1940 was the first production T‑34, introducing the now‑iconic combination of sloped armor, a 76 mm gun, and wide tracks that gave it excellent mobility in mud and snow.
Together, these early T‑34s forced the Wehrmacht to rethink its entire approach to armored warfare. In 1941–42, the Model 1940 shocked German commanders with protection and mobility far beyond what they expected from Soviet industry. By 1942–43, the Model 1942’s sheer numbers allowed the Red Army to form larger, more cohesive tank brigades and sustain offensive momentum. Even as German tanks improved, the T‑34’s balance of firepower, mobility, and survivability kept it competitive and strategically decisive.
On the table, these variants let you represent the full arc of early‑ to mid‑war Soviet armor. The Model 1940 anchors 1941–42 scenarios with the feel of a tough, modern tank appearing in a chaotic, under‑supported army. The Model 1942 becomes your dependable workhorse for Stalingrad‑to‑Kursk battles, pairing naturally with T‑70s, KV‑1s, and SU‑76s. Fielding both gives your force historical depth and lets you tailor your armored punch to the exact year and narrative you’re building.

Please Note: Models are supplied in gray resin, cleaned, unpainted and with external supports removed. Decals not included. There may be small supports or “nubs” remaining in places like the tracks. These are best removed with a sharp knife. No sanding or filing is necessary (or recommended)!
Some assembly may be required–usually only wheels or tracks. Superglue works great, especially for small parts and repairs. For wheels, I recommend a 5-minute epoxy, but superglue works here, too.
