Figure Bases

We offer a variety of lipped bases for use with your figures. Lipped bases keep the groundwork defined and tidy. You can also use that flat surface to color-code units.

The trend today is to mount figures on individual bases, with crew-served weapons being mounted on one base with the crew.

For individual foot figures we offer 3/4″ (19mm), 7/8″ (22mm), and 1″ (25mm) bases. The smaller two sizes are 1.5mm thick, while all the 1″ and larger bases are 2mm thick.

For mounted figures we have a 25x50mm “pill” shaped base. This is perfect for one horse and can also be used for some foot figures, like a prone figure or a casualty. The lying observer figure in our Saharienne artillery crew looks great on this base.

For crew-served weapons, we have a 60mm round base. This is perfect for a 3-man HMG or mortar crew.

For artillery, we have larger bases that allow for the gun and crew. There’s even room to add ammo boxes, shells and to make a mini-diorama out of it. Common sizes used in World War Two games are 170x130mm and 120x92mm. While these bases would work at 2mm thick, I’ve made them 2.5mm.
