Askari Miniatures has launched a new project on Kickstarter: Madagascar 1895, a scenario and campaign book covering the French expedition from the coastal lowlands up into the central highlands. The book follows the historical march toward Antananarivo, with encounters, terrain challenges, and personalities drawn from the period.
The project funded quickly and is now approaching the first stretch goal: three Hova personalities — two Royal Princesses and a Court Sorcerer — who add cultural depth and leadership options to the campaign.
The campaign book is rules‑ and scale‑neutral, making it suitable for 28mm, 15mm, 10mm, 6mm, or any colonial ruleset. Whether you use Askari figures or your own collection, the book adapts easily to your preferred system.
