Command figures for the Foreign Legion in Madagascar.
The French invaded Madagascar 1895, including a battalion of the Foreign Legion.
These figures are wearing the uniforms supplied by the Navy, including trpocial helmet and packs. These figures could be painted khaki or blue with white trousers. These same figures could be used as Infanterie de Marine who also participated in the campaign.
Officers wore dark blue uniforms with rank chevrons on the sleeves.
These figures could also be used for the Dahomey Campaign of 1892 where they were dressed in the same way. The officers could also be painted in white.
3 figures in the pack, 1 each of the three figures shown: Officer, bugler and NCO.
NOTE: All figures are sold plain (not primed or painted) and without additional basing.
