Description
The Senegalese Tirailleurs came not only from Senegal, but also from throughout French West Africa. The uniform is c.1890-99 with light blue or white campaign pants. Officer is in the Colonial service uniform with sun helmet. Before WWI the uniform color changed to khaki.
20 figures. Officer, bugler, 9 tirailleurs advancing and 9 firing.
These versatile figures also make pretty good Belgian Force Publique troops from the same period as well as Egyptian infantry of the 1870s (all dark blue uniform with white gaiters).
NOTE: All figures are sold plain (not primed or painted) and without additional basing.
