Description
The Italian 65mm L/17 Mountain Gun mounted on a captured Morris CS8 truck.
This vehicle was created by installing a 65 mm infantry cannon on the cargo bay of British Morris CS8 trucks captured during the first actions in North Africa in 1940. This Autocannone was used by the Batterie Volanti (English: Flying Batteries) artillery group that fought against the Commonwealth forces in the Libyan desert during the North African Campaign. (Tanks Encyclopedia)
These vehicles equipped 7 of the Italian Army’s 16 Batterie Volanti. They operated in an anti-tank role, as well as intercepting and engaging the patrols of the Long Range Desert Groups (LRDGs) or the Special Air Service (SAS).
This exciting new addition to our range comes in two variants: with the sides of the truck either up or down. When ordering, pick which hull type you want.
This is a resin kit. This model is very light and contains levels of detail not obtainable in any other material.
Please Note: Models are supplied in gray resin, cleaned, unpainted and with external supports removed. Decals not included. There may be small supports or “nubs” remaining in places like the tracks. These are best removed with a sharp knife. No sanding or filing is necessary (or recommended)!
Some assembly may be required–usually only wheels or tracks. Superglue works great, especially for small parts and repairs. For wheels, I recommend a 5-minute epoxy, but superglue works here, too.

Logan Lamborn –
I won this truck at the Gajograd tournament, and it is a phenomenal model! The axle and light came broken off, but since I had the pieces it was easy to fix. It was packed great despite this and was surprised how easy the 3D printed resin was to glue. Seriously a Beautiful model and very well printed. Would recommend this item and this company
