Circassian Cossack-style cossacks with fur cap and long tunic with the characteristic cartridge pouches sewn on.
This style of uniform was worn in the Circassian and Astrakhan cossack regiments during the conquest of Turkestan in the 1870s and the Russo-Turkish War of 1877. They can also be used for Circassians in Turkish service or serving themselves and opposing Turks or Russians.
As the fur cap and coat became more popular, various other cossack units wearing this style of dress can be seen in World War I, the Revolution and Civil War and even into World War II.
Set consists of six cavalry, three each of the two shown.
