We have some new French Fusiliers Marins in their blue winter uniforms and sheepskin jackets from 1871 now available.
There is also a command group, shown in the header photo.
This is a slight departure from our usual Colonial focus. In the Franco-Prussian War, the French brought over the Zouaves, Tirailleurs, and Chasseurs d’ Afrique from North Africa, which are in our current Colonial line. The Chasseurs Alpins are also suitable for 1870/1. I thought it might be fun to expand a bit and make the sailors as well.
This is a slightly new direction for Askari Miniatures: I would be interested to hear what you think.
