The Germans entered the Scramble late and in Africa gained (mainly) German Southwest Africa (Deutsches Sudwest Afrika, DSWA) and German East Africa (Deutsches Ost Afrika, DOA).
DSWA was manned by German soldiers in two regiments of mounted Schutztruppe. DOA was managed by companies of native askaris under German officers. Our range includes both types as well as sailors.
Their opponents in DSWA were Hereros.
