Quality 28mm figures for Colonial and WW2 gaming

German Mounted Schutztruppe

$22.50

Germany's Southwest Africa colony (Deutsche Sud-West Afrika, DSWA) was defended by a security force made up completely of German troops. These troops were known as Schutztruppe and were all mounted infantry supported by artillery crews.

The mounted Schutztruppen in this set include 6 figures, 3 each of the two figures shown.

The set includes two different horses as well, three of each type: trotting and standing. All the mounted figures look good on any horse. How you place them, of course, is according to your preference.

Also included for the troopers is a separate rifle scabbard with rifle. For figures holding or firing the rifle, simply snap off the rifle from the scabbard. There is a hole drilled in the horses forward of the saddle where the scabbard was usually strapped. I suggest you fit the riders to the horses first, then place the scabbard where you want it. Some photos show the scabbard to the rear of the saddle. If you don't use the hole, simple fill it with a bit of putty, glue or paint.

NOTE: All figures are sold plain (not primed or painted) and without additional basing.
