Here’s an almost-finished green of a Russian officer in his green field uniform.
(The “smoke” swirling from the end of his pistol is, in fact, excess green stuff to be cut off.) I really like this guy. Let me know what you think.
The Turkish officer:
Here is the Turk. The cut of the coats for the subaltern officers on both sides was quite similar. This one could be an infantry or an artillery officer.
Generals on both sides are more often pictured in either very long coats (Turks) or in an overcoat (Russians). Skobelev seems to be the exception (P-5) in his white tunic.
