Ambulance Mules

Description

Two Ambulance Mules with litters.

Ambulance mules such as these were first used in the Crimean War, and subsequently in the American Civil War, Rif War, Spanish Civil War, and the Balkan Wars, through at least to World War I. Transporting the wounded via mules was used where it was impractical to use wagons.

The set consists of two mules, four frames and four litters.
