Description
Three command figures as shown: bugler, officer and NCO.
These figures are a match for our mounted Don Cossack Command or as Foot Cossacks (plastuny)
This style of uniform was worn in the Don, Ural, Siberian, and Orenburg cossack regiments during the conquest of Turkestan in the 1870s and the Russo-Turkish War of 1877.
Cossack units wearing this style of dress can be seen in World War I, the Revolution and Civil War and even into World War II. These dismounted cossacks also make great Russian infantry figures in summer dress for the latter periods.
All the rifles of our cossacks on foot are cast with bayonets for use as plastuny; for use as dismounted cossacks of a mounted unit, simply remove the bayonets.
NOTE: All figures are sold plain (not primed or painted) and without additional basing.
